A first ...

cartoon strip showing the histroy of martin from when he arrived in paris in 1991, how he began his coaching work because his clients were not achieving their full potential with the existing education and training available to them.

I arrived in Paris in 1991 with my backpack.

I noted that very talented French people were excluded from international teams ‘because of their English.’

I changed the way they were learning. We stopped learning ‘English’ and we started ‘coaching to work in an international team’, using ‘a cloud of tools and processes’.

My clients and I developed all the tools together.  Their progress was rapid, fun, and effective.

and then ...

How it developed

I researched all the ‘best global practices’.  I applied only those things that worked for my clients. In addition,  each of my clients added their ideas to the program.

I worked in ‘live’ business scenarios, with salespeople, the members of the executive committee, and the CEO, and then, in all parts of the business.  Our system became robust, successful and fun.

It doesn’t take me away from my work. I don’t see the time pass, and it’s time ‘for me’ in my week.

after that ...

How can I make this available to more people?

Firstly, can I do this as training? Then it could be delivered to a group.

Secondly, can I do this as teaching? Then it could be delivered to a class.

Then, can I do this remotely? Then it can be delivered to people online.

Can I do this for a team? Then I can deliver to small and medium sized companies.

and now ...

cartoon strip showing how martin wants to make this available to more people at a more accessible price and using a more accessible delivery model.

What can I do next?

Firstly, I can do this online. Then I can deliver it to anyone, anywhere, anytime in the world.

Secondly, I can share the ‘technic’ with the client as I did with mine. This makes the whole process significantly faster.

This would make it a ‘disruptive’ model. No ‘secrets’, no ‘mystery’, better delivery, lower costs, wider distribution, more accessible, easier to buy for the many not just the few.

I can publish it online and continue to develop it with people of many cultures.

A disruptive model, popularisation, democratisation, demystification

•In its most widespread sense, popularization is, according to the Larousse, the "action of making technical and scientific knowledge accessible to the greatest number, to non-specialists". For the dictionary Le Petit Robert, it is "the fact of adapting a set of technical and scientific knowledge, so as to make it accessible to a non-specialist reader". Finally, for the TLFi, it is the "dissemination of knowledge, ideas, products to the general public"
